Project:

Model a structure using Organic Modeling techniques. Pick an Audio Track or Sound FX and animate at least 10 seconds of visuals and pair with the music. Your animation must show a knowledge and understanding of Organic Modeling, highly detailed textures (UV Mapping) and sophisticated animation.

The animations can utilize your Organic Models in unique ways.  For example, insects, plants, anatomy, food, animals, real-world objects  etc... Be creative!

Research and Sketches

The project begins with doing research and learning about the organic model. After understanding the definition and how it works, we start collecting references, designing approaches, and creating rough designs on paper.

2D Vectors

After getting approved to move forward, a 2D scene is created in Adobe Illustrator based on the approved design approach and color palettes.

3D Scene

This exploration will build on the techniques:

• Organic Modeling

• Sculpting

• Scene Creation

• Texturing using UV Maps

• Final Compositing touches

Keep 2D and 3D scenes cohesive by using a similar color palette and design approach.

Compositing

Combine 2D and 3D scenes together. By using a cinematic technique like match cut on action, the transition becomes mostly seamless.
